Spinal Bracing & Medical Support
Conservative stabilization options to support healing, alignment, and function.
Valley Physical Medicine can prescribe, fit, and dispense spinal and joint bracing (DMEPOS) when clinically appropriate. Bracing may be recommended to provide support, improve stability, and assist with recovery for select musculoskeletal conditions.
Bracing recommendations are individualized and based on clinical findings and functional needs.
Common Bracing Types
Bracing may be considered for select patients who may benefit from added stability or support, including:
- Lumbar spinal support bracing
- Cervical support bracing (when indicated)
- Knee braces (stability and support)
- Ankle / foot bracing
- Other joint-specific support options as appropriate
- TENS units (dispensed when clinically appropriate)
- Aspen scoliosis bracing system (when clinically indicated)

All DMEPOS recommendations are individualized and based on clinical findings, functional needs, and medical necessity.
How Bracing Fits into Your Care Plan
Bracing may be used as a supportive component of conservative care, including chiropractic care, rehabilitation, and medical services when appropriate. Recommendations are tailored based on patient response, activity demands, and functional goals.
